WHO WE ARE

Learning from Nature’s Architecture

John Herschel describes nature as constructing a refined and often invisible architecture, shaped by balance and order rather than force. At O/I Design Studio, this principle underpins how we design. Our work is driven by close observation, research, and strategic response to each project’s context. By understanding the natural, social, historical, and spatial conditions of a site, we develop architecture and interiors that are clear in structure, precise in execution, and capable of evolving with use. The result is design that is specific, enduring, and responsive to real-world demands.

How we work

We use advanced CAD and 3D modelling to communicate designs clearly with clients and contractors, enabling informed decisions and smoother project delivery. Wherever possible, we prioritise the reuse and adaptation of existing structures and materials, creating value from what is already on site. By working closely with engineers and specialist consultants, we combine technical expertise and creative thinking to develop solutions that are efficient, practical, and well executed.
